Corporate Education has a proven track record of running customised award and non award programs. Some of the organisations we work with include:

 

Defence Materiel Organisation- DMO

QUT has been selected through a competitive tender process to develop and deliver an Executive Master of Business Administration in Complex Project Management (EMCPM), a series of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) events and applied research into project performance and project manager performance. The customised EMBA is designed to accelerate the development of project managers to undertake the largest and most complex of projects. All activities are currently in development for delivery commencing February 2008.

Royal Dutch Shell Plc

In April 2006, Royal Dutch Shell Plc (Shell) appointed  QUT as one of four university learning partners for its global Shell Project Academy (SPA) and Finance in Projects (FIP) academies. The Shell Project Academy Learning Partners are:

The Shell Project Academy is a world-class competency development program for all Shell staff working at all stages of the project lifecycle. It aims to develop project professionals to help deliver sustained excellence in Shell projects globally. The SPA program is a comprehensive, fully integrated competence development initiative, which includes learning, networking, coaching, mentoring, accreditation and guidance for competence development through on the job experience.

The curriculum learning events use a blended learning approach which incorporates a mix of work-place assignments, e-learning, and face-to-face training delivered at Shell international locations. More than 1000 project practitioners will go through the Project Academy learning program.

APN News and Media

In 2006 and 2007, QUT delivered a 10 day professional development program to a total of 50 senior and middle managers of APN News and Media. The program was held in two cities, Brisbane and Auckland. Topics covered included entrepreneurship and innovation, managing change, customer relationship management, leadership development, creative problem solving, marketing, financial management and project management. Participants worked in groups and applied the knowledge gained to a workplace project set by the participants’ managers. Facilitators provided feedback on projects before participants presented them to managers.

Storm Financial

QUT currently delivers a Master of Business (Applied Finance) to 20 financial advisors within the Storm Financial Group. This program is delivered in four intensive sessions per year over a period of three years. This program, including assessment, is tailored to fit in with participants’ business commitments.

Country Energy

In 2007, QUT collaborated with Country Energy financial staff to design a professional development program on financial management for electricity supply paraprofessionals. The program is delivered to two cohorts of 20 participants over four days. The program includes Country Energy case studies.

Queensland Government

In 2006, QUT in conjunction with Leadership Education Australia, was selected as a member of the Office of the Public Service Comissioner (OPSC) panel of providers to supply management programs for executive and senior staff of the Queensland Public Service.
